The alluring charm of Hollywood’s golden era has sparked an enchanting fascination and inspiration for wedding couples nowadays. From the luxury wedding venue down to the wedding suits, they take it to heart to make their wedding days a blast from the golden age of Hollywood with a modern twist. For this blog, we have Emmanuelle and Jerome, whose luxury wedding is set at one of the most beautiful viewpoints in the Laurentians region in Quebec, Canada. This amazing couple perfectly embodied old Hollywood glamour!
The Stonehaven Manor was a setting straight out of an Old Hollywood narrative. Because of its grand architecture, lush grounds, and a blend of modern elegance and historic charm, it felt like we had stepped onto the set of a classic film. The Manor’s wood-paneled rooms, vast chandeliers, and sweeping staircases offered an ambiance of timeless grandeur. All of these fit impeccably with Emmanuelle and Jerome’s Old Hollywood theme, captured by Montreal-based luxury wedding photographer Kerstin Hahn Photography.
The expansive ballroom, with its high ceilings and beautiful arched windows, was transformed into a 1940s star-studded gala! This is all thanks to an array of twinkling lights, luxurious drapes, and gold accents. The venue also had manicured lawns and vintage-style fountains. Because of this, the venue evoked the romantic allure of the silver screen. It was not just a luxury venue for this wedding. It was a character in Emmanuelle and Jerome’s love story, and it provided the dream stage for their glamorous Old Hollywood romance.
Emmanuelle embodied the grace of a classic Hollywood starlet as she managed to flawlessly incorporate wedding trends. Her sleek modern dress, designed by Ivoire Montreal, was a striking nod to vintage Hollywood. It was then complemented by a long veil embellished with pearl details that floated around her like a delicate cloud. With the artistry of Marilyn Plante, who mastered Emmanuelle’s hair into perfect Hollywood waves, and Ana May Lessard, who elegantly crafted the bridal makeup, we could have mistaken our beautiful bride for a glamorous 1940s movie star. Their expertise made sure our bride radiated confidence and grace, truly setting the stage for the day.
The bride’s bouquet was one that was hard to miss. It was a fresh bunch of white orchids, artfully arranged by Prune Les Fleurs. The floral arrangements were nothing short of spectacular as well! The huge orchid arch, a DIY project by the bride herself, was truly a sight during the ceremony. They were able to capture the essence of the theme with rich tones and classic arrangements, from Emmanuelle’s stunning bouquet to the minimalist table centerpieces.
The ceremony was heartfelt and emotional, with Emmanuelle and Jerome saying their personal vows to one another. It was headed by Emmanuelle’s brother, which, as a result, added a deeply personal touch to the rite. There were plenty of happy tears, heartfelt laughs, and their beloved dog, Leo, who made the most adorable ring bearer!
In an intimate moment after the ceremony, Emmanuelle and Jerome took some private time to practice their first dance together. As a result, the manor was in a love mist as they spent the first few minutes by themselves, basking in the moment. This intentional time was not just for stunning photos. More deeply, it was a moment for them to enjoy each other’s company away from the crowd.
Emmanuelle, in her elegant wedding dress and her feather boa, and Jerome practiced their steps, and their love embraced the grand halls of Stonehaven Manor.
As the night fell, Emmanuelle swapped her Hollywood glamour look for a chic short dress for the reception. A playful bow adorned her hair as she danced the night away in comfortable yet stylish sneakers. She proved to everyone that a modern bride can have it all: elegance, style, and comfort! Moreover, we won’t forget about the minimalistic cake, which was truly a piece of art. Adorned with flowers that matched the bridal bouquet, it was a testament to the couple’s understated yet sophisticated taste.
Every once in a while, as a wedding photographer, you find yourself in the midst of an event that feels more like a beautifully curated film. This was the case with Emmanuelle and Jerome’s wedding—an exquisite blend of modern trends and Old Hollywood glamour. It was truly a vintage spectacle worth looking back on!
